Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly expected to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of his contract in the summer.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is hoping to sign Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum in the summer.

The Dutchman is going to remain Barca boss beyond the club’s presidential elections and this season.

If he does remain, El Mundo Deportivo claims two fellow countrymen will be his main targets – and both would be free agents.

Koeman would go for Wijnaldum, who still cannot agree a new deal with Liverpool, and Lyon’s Memphis Depay.

Both would be out of contract in the summer and would add the qualities Barcelona are lacking at the moment, in Koeman’s view.

Wijnaldum is being tipped to stay at Liverpool by English outlets, but there is allegedly a stalemate in negotiations for a new deal.
