Davido Becomes A Ghanaian On His Birthday; Calls Himself ‘Ohene’ And ‘Torgbi’ As He Wears A Beautiful Kente

Davido has really shown that he has mad love for Ghana, and to show his affiliation to the small West African country that’s considered the second home to most Nigerian celebrities, the Fem hitmaker decided to pay homage to Ghana on his birthday.

The DMW boss shared a photo of himself, clad in Kente, a Ghanaian textile, made of handwoven cloth strips of silk and cotton. Historically the fabric was worn in a toga-like fashion by royalty among ethnic groups, including the Ashanti, the Akyem, and the Fante.

Davido called himself King in two Ghanaian languages, Ohene (Twi), Torgbi (Ewe), while sharing the photo on his official Instagram handle.

“Torgbi Adeleke
Ohene OBO 📌 m3 tor gb3 na mi laaa ❤️ 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🤯🤯🤯” he wrote.
