Joe Biden Appoints Black Woman To Co-Chair COVID-19 Advisory Board

United States president-elect, Joe Biden, has taken the bold step in keeping his promise to include all Americans in his administration regardless of their race.

Joe Biden has recently announced his new COVID-19 task force which would focus on fighting against the global pandemic. He went ahead to appoint a black woman from Virgin Island, Marcella Nunez-Smith, to co-chair the advisory board.

Marcella is a noted Yale University expert and an associate professor of internal medicine, public health and management, who will be one of three co-chairs on the task force.

According to the president-elect, the battle against COVID-19 will be a major challenge his administration will be facing when they transition to power.

The president-elect also went ahead to explain that the task force will help shape his approach in tackling the virus.

“The advisory board will help shape my approach to managing the surge in reported infections; ensuring vaccines are safe, effective, and distributed efficiently, equitably, and free; and protecting at-risk populations” He stated.
