Super Falcons new coach Randy Waldrum has said he has been pleased with the “ton of talents” in the team and said he believes that with the right preparation they can always enjoy top finishes at the World Cup.

Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his team in the 1-0 win against CSKA Moscow on Thursday.

Chiwendu Ihezuo scored the decisive goal as the African champions started their campaign at the Turkish Women’s Cup on a winning note.

It was a first call for Waldrum who signed his working agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation 24 hours before the encounter.

“I am pleased with the performance considering that the team has not been together for over a year. We did quite well in the first half and for me, it was great getting a result in this first camp and outing with the team,’ Waldrum said after the game.

” We somewhat lost our way a few times in the second half, but on the balance, we did well and can only get better.”

The Super Falcons will face Uzbekistan in their next game on Saturday.
