1. President Buhari Sends Message To Youths As He Launches National Young Farmers Scheme

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed optimism that Nigerian youths will take on mechanized farming with the launch of the National Young Farmers Scheme.

The President while launching the scheme on Tuesday at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, disclosed that the scheme will be managed by the revamped National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).

2. Sanwo-Olu To Cancel Pension For Ex-Governors, Deputies In Lagos

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed plans to abolish the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007) in Lagos State.

The implication of this is that former Governors and their Deputies will no longer be entitled to pension and other benefits after they leave office.

Sanwo-Olu dropped the hint on Tuesday when he appeared before the Lagos State House Of Assembly to present the state 2021 budget estimates.

3. CBN Says No To Removal Of Arabic Inscription On Naira Notes

The Central Bank of Nigeria has said no to a lawsuit seeking to have the Ajami (Arabic) inscriptions on Naira notes remove.

The apex bank had said it would cost Nigeria a lot of money to abandon the existing notes because of Arabic inscriptions and print new ones without it.

4. #EndSARS: Guru Maharaj Ji Reveals Who Caused Killings At Lekki Toll Gate

Satguru Maharaj Ji, the leader of One Love Family, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of causing the killing of unarmed peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate plaza in Lagos State.

Speaking to newsmen at the Satguru Maharaj Ji Village, in Iju, Lagos, the popular cleric stated that Buhari’s refusal to pacify aggrieved youths “on time” led to the killing.

5. Federal Government Excludes Dangote Cement From Border Closure

The federal government of Nigeria has agreed to allow Dangote Cement to continue exporting its products to neighbouring countries despite the closure of its borders.

This comes despite the federal government’s order to close the country’s borders for more than a year.

6. NAF To Get Additional 19 Aircraft To Fight Boko Haram

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has revealed that the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) is set to take delivery of 19 additional aircraft in the fight against Boko Haram and other insurgents.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by the air chief when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Air Force to defend their 2021 budget figures.

7. Court Finds APC Reps Member Guilty Of Lying Under Oath

A federal lawmaker, Victor Mela, representing Billiri/Balanga federal constituency of Gombe State has been found guilty of lying under oath by a Magistrate Court in Abuja.

The presiding judge found Mela guilty of supplying false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enable him contest the 2019 election.

8. I Won’t Forgive Biden, Obama For Bringing Buhari To Power – Fani-Kayode

The Minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday, noted that the All Progressives Congress wants the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden as the next US president because of the support it received from former US President Barack Obama during the 2015 elections.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party were supported in 2015 to unseat former Nigeria President, Jonathan.

9. Falz, Sam Adeyemi, Aisha Yesufu, 47 Others Dragged To Court For Promoting #EndSARS Protest

An activist, Kenechukwu Okeke, has filed a criminal complaint before a Chief Magistrate’s court in Abuja against 50 persons for their alleged roles in the #EndSARS protests that took place last month.

Okeke alleged that during the riot, his properties were destroyed and the defendants who promoted the #EndSARS protests must be brought to justice.

Those listed as defendants include Musician Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz; and social media comedians, Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni, and Maryam Akpaokagi aka Taoma.

10. Rahama Sadau Speaks Out On Alleged Police Arrest, Jail Sentence

Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau has reacted to reports making rounds that she has been arrested by the police and sentenced to jail over her recent outfit.

The actress who has been in the news recently over the controversy generated by the gown she wore in a recent photo shared on her social media page denied been invited by the police nor sentenced to jail by any court.
