Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has called on Boko Haram terrorists to embrace peace and stop destroying the labours of their forefathers.
Zulum also urged the insurgents to realize that those they kill during their incessant attacks were their brothers and sisters.
The governor spoke on Wednesday during the launch of the civilian joint task force (CJTF) ‘super camp’ in Chabbal, Konduga Local Government Area, where a list of key wanted Boko Haram members was unveiled.
He said, “For those that are still in the bush terrorising innocent lives and properties, I am still calling on them to surrender.
“You are killing your brothers and sisters, destroying our structures that are built using money from your forefather,” Zulum said.
He commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, for streamlining the CJTF operations to enhance the fight against insurgency.
Zulum also announced a donation of 100 motorcycles to members of the CJTF to enhance their operations in the rural areas.
